Mexico
In the not so distant past |
fearful gods ruled |
And the land was filled with danger |
But, after many battles, |
some still being fought, |
won out
and colors shone through every where |
And people flaunted them
Even in the most unlikely nooks and crannies.
The sun blazes everywhere, but the trees
and arches give shade |
There is beauty framed in doorways
People dance in the streets |
and practice for a dance of death |
Now both things and people find places to rest
in light |
and darkness |
guarded by angels |
